Well child checkups

When you become member of Pediatrics by Design, you will have all well checkups included in your monthly fees. This includes all recommended vaccinations. Well child care is preventative care. We will talk about life-long healthy eating habits, developmental milestones, sleep hygiene, and how to support your child and family through growth and change. Dr. Lindsay takes an integrative approach to all preventative care visits.

Newborn home visits

It’s hard enough having a new baby, let alone having to transport them to the doctor’s office. If you live within 5 miles of the office, Dr.Lindsay will come to your home twice in the first six weeks of your baby’s life. If, at those visits, your baby needs a blood test for jaundice, we can do that at your home as well. Dr.Lindsay will assess weight loss and offer breast feeding support in those crucial first weeks. If you live further than 5 miles away, please discuss this with Dr. Lindsay.

Acute care/sick visits

It’s never convenient when your child gets sick. Pediatrics by Design offers same day and next day appointments for your child’s sick care needs. Sometimes an in-person visit isn’t needed, and Dr. Lindsay can explain exactly what to do to help you get through your child’s illness at home. As with all visits, she takes an integrative approach to caring for sick children. We offer strep testing, urine testing, and rapid viral testing to help you avoid a trip to urgent care.

Immunizations

We offer vaccinations to our patients 18 and under as a part of the membership fee. We strongly believe immunizations are life saving and disease preventing. We believe in the safety of vaccines and the overwhelming amount of evidence that supports their safety for children. We adhere to the recommended CDC vaccination schedule and expect our patients and families to do the same. Lengthy visits allow for your vaccine questions to be answered in a low stress environment. If you are not planning on vaccinating your child, Pediatrics by Design would not be a good fit for you and your family.

Integrative medicine consults

This is for non-members only and as with all billing at Pediatrics by Design, we are a cash practice and you will render payment at the visit.

Integrative consultation: This is a single 90 minute deep dive into your child’s medical history. We look at your child’s prior testing, a detailed time line of events, and take a whole-systems approach to what is going on for your child. Lab tests and imaging are not included in this price and are billed separately with your insurance information.

Because we are not your child’s primary physician, all follow up matters should be directed toward their established clinician. A copy of their consult or visit note will be sent their PCP. We can provide a super bill for this service to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
